Encinitas, CA – August 26, 2025 – During the August 20, 2025 City Council meeting, the Encinitas City Council added an Emergency Item to the Agenda to discuss recent ICE activity within the City. Following this discussion, Council directed staff to implement a “Know Your Rights” campaign to provide residents with access to accurate information and trusted resources.

As part of this initiative, the City has launched a new “Know Your Rights” webpage, now live on the City’s website. The page features a list of County, State, and Federal resources designed to support community members and ensure they are informed of their rights and resources.
