Documentation is required, along with your citation appeal, if you believe you have received a parking citation for which you are not responsible.

• If the vehicle had been sold to someone else prior to the citation issue date, a completed and signed copy of the Bill of Sale and/or Certified Release of Liability received from the DMV is required. Both of these forms may also be retrieved and/or filed online at the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) website.
• If the vehicle was leased or rented to someone else, under a written agreement, during the date of the citation, a copy of the contract is required.
