Encinitas Public Art Collection

Public art is art in public spaces. Public art is often site-specific, meaning it is created in response to the place and community in which it resides.

Encinitas is home to a vibrant community of artists who work in all media, including public art. There is an abundance of public art in city parks, buildings, schools, along roadways, and on private property.

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department manages several public art programs that include:

• Sculpture Loan Program

• Civic Art Program (Visual Art Exhibitions in City facilities and Permanent Sculpture Collection)

• Sidewalk Mosaic Medallions on S. Coast Highway 101

• Undercrossings
